The Hecker Fire Department has been partnered with the KNOX Company since 2011. The KNOX Company manufacturers and sells rapid entry lock boxes that are mounted near the front door of a building which allows us to access a key inside of that box to get us in a building during an emergency. This allows us to enter your building handle the emergency and re-lock your building without costly damages to your building.
We just again partnered with the KNOX Company in their HomeBox program. The HomeBox is a much smaller, less expensive, but still secure solution to hold one key. These boxes can be mounted to your house or can be purchased with a door hanging option. These boxes are very useful for homes with occupants that have health issues, elderly residents that may fall, and homes with an automatic fire alarm system.
In a medical emergency whether it be the resident calling 911 or a medical alarm is activated, our First Responder Unit is dispatched along with the transporting ambulance. Upon our arrival we can open your home box unlock your house provide medical care, transfer care to the ambulance re-lock your house and re-secure your HomeBox leaving your house secure with no lose of time accessing you or your loved one.
If you have an automatic fire alarm and you have an alarm when you are not at home we can open your HomeBox investigate the cause of the alarm, extinguish the fire if one exists and re-secure your house.
